Easy Wafer Sandwich Cookies

As promised, here is a lil how to make the wafer cookies from last weeks Pink Party
All you need is wafer cookies, frosting, and sprinkles!...
I used Martha's Vanilla Frosting Recipe and added a lil food coloring. It would work just the same with canned frosting from the store!

Have fun!

DIY Tassel Garland For Under $1!!

Did you like the tassel garland in our pink party last week?
It was super easy and cost less than $1!!
I bought a 5 Color Combo pack of tissue paper from Dollar Tree, and used 2 of the colors. Everything else was stuff already I had! :)
First, open up your tissue paper, and fold it in half the opposite way it was folded(you can stack many at once or do one at a time). Cut along the fold. Next, cut slits all along the long sides, being sure not to cut all the way to the other cuts- leave the center uncut. Using only one sheet of tissue paper, begin on a short end and roll the paper up all the way to the other end. Tie a piece of yarn around the center and fold in half over the yarn. Wrap a small piece of Washi Tape around about 1/2" down. Trim the yarn. Ruffle up the tassels w/ your fingers. Make a bunch!

To put the tassels onto a string, I used an extra large needle and a piece of yarn and threaded the yarn through the loop above the tape.
Have fun! :)

Shop Update: More Coffee Bag Purses

Three more bags in the shop!
These bags go fast!
If you like em, grab one fast!
Since each bag is handmade by me, each one is completely unique. I do not use a pattern, and I use recycled materials whenever possible, so it is very unlikely to see a bag that looks exactly the same as another!

Come check them out in the SylvieLiv shop!

Have a good wknd!

Best Creamy Chicken & Wild Rice Soup Recipe

I love this stuff! It is so flavorful!
Try it, you won't regret it! :)

Creamy Chicken And Wild Rice Soup

Ingredients:
2 Cups Chopped Carrots
1 Cup Chopped Celery
1/4 Cup Chopped Onion
2-4 Garlic Cloves, Minced
3 Tbsp Olive Oil

2 Cups Chicken, Cooked and Diced
1 Carton Chicken Broth
3 Cups Water
1 6.2 oz Box Long Grain & Wild Rice w/ Seasonings

1 1/2 Cups Heavy Cream
1/2 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Flour
Salt
Pepper

Directions:
In large pot, add olive oil, carrots, celery, onion, garlic; and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer over medium heat until veggies soften.

To the pot add chicken, broth, water, and rice. Bring to a boil, and then reduce heat to low-med to simmer.

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Once butter is melted, whisk in flour, small amounts at a time. Add the cream and a dash of salt and pepper, and whisk until thoroughly combined.

Pour the flour mixture into the pot of soup and stir until combined.

Serve hot with fresh baked bread or rolls. Enjoy! :)
